Policy on the Prevention and Resolution of Workplace Harassment and Violence

The NFB is committed to providing a respectful work environment—a safe and healthy workplace for all staff and collaborators, in which any act of harassment or violence is deemed unacceptable and is not tolerated.

The goals of this policy are to:

  • Reaffirm the NFB’s commitment to a healthy, respectful work environment;
  • Promote awareness, communication and education in the workplace in order to prevent any form or potential manifestation of harassment or violence;
  • Take proactive, prompt and fair action in any situation that could be a sign of or lead to harassing or violent conduct or behaviour;

  • Establish effective procedures for providing assistance and handling complaints, while offering support to the parties involved so that the issue can be resolved;
  • Ensure that measures are taken to restore harmonious workplace relationships.
